A contemporary take on the Spanish Botijo. Although rarely used today, the Botijo was once a domestic tool used to store and cool water in the arid Mediterranean. As water evaporates through the porous clay, a layer of condensing water sets on the exterior surface, gradually cooling the inside.

The traditional Botijo has a 5 lt capacity, and features two sprouts; a large one for filling called boca, and a smaller one for drinking called piton. The renewed version holds 1 lt. of water, and reveals a more ergonomic design, pushing its presence beyond the domestic realm.
